This charming late Victorian child's music box, I think is made from maple wood and features a colour lithograph picture of a young boy in period dress, the reverse "S" shaped brass handle has a white ceramic knob and is used to wind the music mechanism. The music box has two tunes (or airs) which are named on the original label on the underside of the box.
The box is about 4" (10.5cm) x 3¼" (8.5cm) and is 2" (5cm) tall and apart from a couple of pinpricks of damage to the lithographed image, the box and the musical mechanism are in superb condition.
