This quality salver was made by James Dixon, one of the England’s most famous silversmiths and very sought after. The salver has a beaded wavy rim on four clawed & ball feet, and is stamped on the reverse JD&S alongside the trumpet & banner logo.  The salver is about 11½" (29cm) in diameter, 1¼" (3cm) in height and weighs about 1.3 lbs (582g). The salver does have a have a small area where the silver plate is thinning otherwise just very minor surface blemishes and no dints or dents.
