SIX CASED STERLING SILVER TEASPOONS BY MAPPIN & WEBB SHEFF 1886

SUPERB MATCHING SET OF SIX VICTORIAN STERLING SILVER TEASPOONS WITH SHELL FLUTED BOWLS IN FITTED CASE - MADE BY MAPPIN & WEBB, ROYAL CUTLERY WORKS SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND - ASSAYED 1886


These gorgeous teaspoons with their shell fluted bowls and part barley twisted stems are about 4½" (11.5cm) long, 1" (2.5cm) across the bowl and weigh in total about 2½ troy oz or 75g. They are all in superb condition with no damage and well struck hallmarks, all assayed in Sheffield 1886; they are a fine early example of the quality of Mappin & Webb's work. They are presented in their original silk and velvet lined case which is also in superb condition with no damage. The dimensions of the case are 6½" (16.5cm) x 5½" (14cm).
