A lovely antique oval shaped cake or bread basket made by James Deakin & Sons of Sheffield. The basket has an ornate pierced and etched decoration to the rim and swing handle and is in excellent condition with just a couple of pin pricks of silver loss. The basket is about 11.5" (29.5cm) long 9.5" (24cm) wide and 10" (25.5cm) high including the handle.

It is stamped with JD & S, and EPNS next his trademark table lamp, and has a 1912 design registration number (# 610710).
